This Week at POA

A group from POA returned home safely today from a missions trip to Malaysia, where they built a church for the local congregation in just one week. We thank God for their success and safety.

Amanda Townsend and Travis Sears will be married at The Pentecostals of Apopka at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 4. There will be no Spanish Service that night due to the wedding.

Junior Quizzers Compete in Extravaganza

The Juniors took one team to Atlanta for Extravaganza this past weekend. Out of the 21 teams from all over the southeast that were there, Megan Jones and MaKenna DeVore came in 6th!

Fusion Zero Seven

Fusion Zero Seven was a smashing success this past weekend. Scores of youth gathered from across the region and beyond to worship God together. The Pentecostals of Apopka was transformed into a high-tech, cutting edge concert venue, with a beautiful Asian-inspired lobby where young people gathered before and after the service.

POA's Jeff Davis warmed up the crowd with ice breakers and clips from a recent trip to Gatorland. Worship was led by musical guests including POA's own 1 Voice Youth Choir and Sanctified, and musical group Chantry Dean from Arkansas. Guest minister Joel Urshan spoke and the packed house responded to the Word of God in droves.

After Friday night's service, the crowd gathered at the RDV Sportsplex in Orlando where they enjoyed pizza, ice skating, basketball, volleyball and fellowship for hours into the night.

The next morning began with a message from Joel Urshan, followed by praise and worship. No doubt countless lives were encouraged and changed due to this event. Special thanks to the army of volunteers who made this weekend possible.

Easter Recap

The Pentecostals of Apopka experienced a beautiful worship service last Sunday morning. A packed house enjoyed combined choirs, special multi-media presentations and a message from Pastor Michael Williams on the resurrection.

Those interested in the opening video presentation on Easter morning can order a copy at www.sermonspice.com. The title is "That's My King," and the cost is $10.

Here are some photo highlights from the service.

Helping Hands

In honor of the legacy the late Papa Joe left in our community, a group of individuals have created Papa Joe’s Helping Hands, a service group to help those in need. The photos above are from their first outing where volunteers did yard work for Sis. Kline.
